BECOME A BRAZOS BEND STATE PARK MAINTENANCE VOLUNTEER

MAINTENANCE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

If you’re the type of person who wants to volunteer but doesn’t like the high-profile areas of staffing the nature center or presenting nature programs, we have a place just for you!  Brazos Bend State Park is currently seeking maintenance volunteer help. Volunteers should be available on weekdays, particularly Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Maintenance tasks vary and may include trail maintenance, vegetation control such as tallow tree clearing, minor carpentry, facility and structural repairs, routine equipment maintenance, tree clearing and special projects.  Maintenance volunteers do not need to undergo the training required to be a member of the Brazos Bend State Park Volunteer Organization. Maintenance volunteers will work along side current members and Park Staff. Interested parties must pass a criminal background check and sign a liability waiver.  Contact Sharon Hanzik at 979-553-5123.
