Earth Day – celebrate the green planet – local

environmental, conservation and outdoor

recreation exhibitors, a full day of nature hikes

and demonstrations and activities. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Annual event since 1990. Event

attracts approximately 3000 visitors. Free with park entrance fee.

Classic Comedy Halloween – enjoy a classic movie under the stars at the amphitheater. Held

the Saturday evening closest to Halloween.  Free with park entrance fee.

A Simple Christmas – Forget the hustle and bustle of today’s Christmas season.  Enjoy

Dutch-oven cooking demonstrations, historical re-enactments, hayride, piñatas marshmallow

roasting and music.  Held the first Saturday in December.  Free with park entrance fee.

The Brazos River Pickers – Old-time, bluegrass music.  Held at the outdoor amphitheater the

first Saturday of every month, October – May.  Free with park entrance fee.
