THANKSGIVING WEEK NATURE PROGRAMS & HIKES

Nature Center Hours
Monday through Friday  11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday   9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Monday

10:00 a.m. CREEKFIELD LAKE NATURE HIKE - Guided hike on a 1/2 mile, paved trail approximately 1.5 hours.
11:00 a.m. ALL ABOUT ALLIGATOR HIKE – Meet at 40 Acre Lake Restrooms for this 1-mile guided hike to learn more than you ever wanted to know about alligators. Bring binoculars if you have them.
2:00 p.m. SNAKE PROGRAM – Discover more about the animal that people love to hate and its important role in the environment.

Tuesday

10:00 a.m. CREEKFIELD LAKE NATURE HIKE - Guided hike on a 1/2 mile, paved trail approximately 1.5 hours.
1:00 p.m. CHILDREN’S STORYTIME & CRAFT - “Opossums”- Listen to the story and make your very own opossum.

Wednesday

1:00 p.m. ALLIGATORS IN THE WILD - Meet at Observation Tower on 40 Acre Lake to learn more about the life of the American Alligator. Bring binoculars if you have them.
3:30 p.m. WILDLIFE VIEWING at ELM LAKE - Meet at the wildlife viewing platform at Elm Lake to discover more about the wildlife that call Brazos Bend home. Bring binoculars if you have them.

Friday

11:00 a.m. ATTRACTING WILDLIFE TO YOUR BACK YARD - Join us for a program to discover what kind of wildlife lives in your neighborhood & how to attract it to your backyard.
1:00 p.m. ALL ABOUT ALLIAGTORS - Learn more about Brazos Bend’s most popular resident.
