Host Maintenance Volunteers Needed

If you’re the type of person who wants to volunteer but doesn’t like the high-profile areas of staffing the nature center or presenting nature programs, we have a place just for you!  Brazos Bend State Park is currently seeking host maintenance volunteer help.   Maintenance tasks vary and may include trail maintenance, vegetation control such as tallow tree clearing, minor carpentry, facility and structural repairs, routine equipment maintenance, tree clearing and special projects.  Park hosts maintenance volunteers will enjoy the amenities of a full-hookup campsite (Water/Sewer/Electric) in exchange for 25 hours of work per week.   Maintenance volunteers do NOT need to undergo the training required to be a member of the Brazos Bend State Park Volunteer Organization. Maintenance volunteers will work along side current members and Park Staff. Interested parties must be at least 18 years of age, pass a criminal background check and sign a liability waiver.  Apply by contacting Danny Thach at 979-553-5101.
